SWEET STUFF ... :)

Dreams are meant to come alive,

So I knit them today, & I know they'll thrive...

A beautiful land of make-believe,
Where sweetness overflows that we receive...

Let the whole world lucidly see,
what's up between you and me...

Run away far far away,
Someplace where there is no dismay...

Lets watch the sun rise together...
Lets silently promise to hold-hands, forever...

AM I A "TRANSFORMER "?!?

 mixed reactions....

T'was just yesterday when everything seemed to be so easy... But today is a whole new day altogether!

Well, basically this is a spoilt, rather pampered-to-the-hilt child reporting. Have never asked for anything twice till date! Toys, Books, Gadgets ... u name it.. she's got 'em all! Days used to be so easy before... I mean 've never considered 'planning ahead' was ever an option. Taking a day at a time has been the mantra all along.

But now........................phew! I mean, realizing the fact that life has actually changed so much within a jiffy is taking its toll! Untill last week, the feeling was that of a born-free-careless youngster who was never fastened to anything or anyone! The world was limited... ow .. so so limited to THE family n friends !!! But now gosh! there are manacles all over the place! No one is complaining in here... no no no... infact .. to be honest ...all this attention is kinda sweet in its own way... but of course, it'll take some time to seep in :)

But something is missing... That hollow feeling hasn't left yet. The crave for something... E X C I T I N G to happen... as thrilling as an alien invasion or a sudden mutation... is driving me nuts!!! Gosh there'll be chaos far and wide!!! Hotfoots all over the place .. he he he... sheeeessh! M loosing it ... cool down lady...cool... *deep breaths* ...

Actually, its plain old nervousness.. to be honest..it is this panicky-drama rolling in the head. Can see something of mega-wattage coming up... and why the heck isn't this lab-rat kinda feeling going away?! It should go..  gotta be braver.. gutsier than ever before...

tremble* ....tremble*.......brrrrrr... :-S

IT IS LOVE SEASON AGAIN!

Hello! Its time yet again to fall in love... embrace the sweetness that fulfills your heart... This is the Valentines Week... Come fall in love!
The link i provided here has beautiful lines about situations where love doesn't rest in your favor.
There can be 3 such cases...
1)You love him/her but he/she doesn't
2)Some one loves you but you are unable to reciprocate
3)You both used to love each other, but things aren't the same anymore

Darlings, one thing that I have to say is Love cannot be tamed, if you two are destined to be together... not even the almighty can stop you two from staying apart, doesn't matter if the pair is incompatible...with time, things tend to become easier. But if the cosmos is against the bonding... however hard you may try... love will not play in your favor.

So this season.. you need not 'find' your love. If love chooses you, he/she (your Miss/Mr Right) will bump into you when you least expect it. And if things do not happen that way, dear, there is always next time!!!

As I already told you... Love knows no bounds! Bounds include age,tinge,culture,community,country...not even planet! Here's a poem.. a subtle one... (stupid though, but I a good enough read I guess...)

So many thoughts,
I don't know where to begin,
I'll start from my heart,
and what I feel within.

I still have feelings,
which haven't changed,
because when you left me
my life was re-arranged.

I used to cry
so many times a day,
but lately those tears
have been fading away.

I am hoping that
my brighter day soon will come,
and maybe, just maybe,
I'll find that special someone.

Yes, it's been hard,
but I'm getting back my life,
I've even managed
to put away the knife.

I will find someone
who's right for me,
who loves me
and lets me be all I can be.

Yet the thought of you and her,
is tearing me apart,
because you will always have a special place
in my broken heart.

Do I still love you?
Yes, I do,
but another part of me
is getting over you.

I never thought I would say this,
but I simply have to confess,
with each and every day that goes by,
I love you less and less.

I just wanted to be with you,
but now you're gone,
and the time has come
for me to move on.

You meant so much to me,
in fact, you still do,
from the bottom of my heart,
I loved you too.

William Shakespeare had rightly said that
"Love is a smoke raised with the fume of sighs,
Being purged, a fire sparkling in lovers' eyes,
Being vexed, a sea nourished with lovers' tears.
What is it else? A madness most discreet,
A choking gall and a preserving sweet."

Love comes with an equal dose of happiness and sadness. If you are ready to accept love, You should be prepared to face all its side effects as well.

Once you learn to live with it... things will become as beautiful as ever... All the sweet memories will remain.. and do let go of the bitter ones.
This will help you sustain your on going relationship. And if its over and you feel its too late... the sweet memories will be reason enough to give you a lifetime of happiness. The mistakes that you have committed this time... will surely help you learn and you can build up an even better, stronger than ever bond, next time. All you need to do is love yourself as much as you love your love :)

Do not ever gamble with your feelings...If you do so... there may come a time when you feel that you are completely burnt out and you do not have any romance left in you for any other person. Trust me... its too painful. Give love in breaks and gasps, control your emotions... give as much as you receive. Keep the rest to yourself.. save.. for a special occasion when you are showered with emotions.. so that you can shower it back ... sighs* :)

This day .. I swear will be a 'Once in a lifetime' moment for you both!!!

Okay I am signing off...Keep loving.

My love for art...

It has been ages since I drew or sketched on a paper sheet... let alone painting. Recently there was this T-shirt design competition held in my office and some of my colleagues pushed me into the competition... The theme was 'Rang De Basanti' (The competition was held on the eve of The Indian Republic Day.) One of the primary rules was that we could not draw the flag as it would be an insult to the tricolor. Some how we came across some designs over the internet, over night I bought a hand full of fabric paint bottles (with some help from Dad & my drawing sir from school) and lo! I was all set to draw!!! Holding the brush and sweeping the T-shirt with vivid hues had never been so easy! All of a sudden I realized that this had been inside me all along! (My mom always said that I was an artist.. I never took her seriously) I had always loved colors, my friends say that 'Geet is a colorful person'. During the competition, which was of 45 minutes duration only, I still cannot understand how those patterns and ideas came into my head or rather my brush-tip, and those numerous internet printouts actually merged into a colorful display of Patriotism spoken through colors! The end result was simply breath taking... Even I couldn't believe that I had made it!

This was enough for me to go crazy about my painting-instincts all over again.. I thought to start over with a simple 'Patachitra' .. the religious folk art of Orissa and Bengal. Have a look at my creation below...

This is a representation of Dandiya(folk dance of Gujarat)  in Patachitra style. As you can see from the border that there are red flowers and twigs attaching them. I do not know exactly what they signify. But all that I can say is this is a representation of union of souls .. leading to a colorful display of happiness and celebration. My next trial will be a Warli painting ( It some what resembles the tribal art of my state -Orissa).I will try to make it multichrome because the original style is monochromic with geometrical patterns. Until then.. enjoy my latest masterpiece :)

Less, Lesser ... Least !

A very Good Morning People (In India) and for others.. Good Day, Good Afternoon or Good Evening. (Please feel free to select your type!)

I had created this blog for a selfish need i.e. to post poems (self composed) and mostly love poems, because it would be embarassing to have such things written in a secret diary at hostel/home. There is no guarantee that somebody/anybody at all would never read it... such is my privacy.Duh!

Anyway, lets not stray away from the main reason why, the first time in 5 yrs, I am blogging like a normal person. The reason is very vexatious... infact so much, that i got up at 9 today in the morning instead of my usual 10am :P (i am a sleepy head, please pardon me). I just couldnt bear to see this early in the morning (remember, early morning for me)...

...Somebody rung the doorbell, Mum was probably in the puja room (when she is in there, nothing, not even an earthquake registering 8.8 on the Richter Scale can distract her, leave alone a meager door bell!), so i was left with no choice but to drag myself out of my cozy bed, which almost is like a corporal punishment being afflicted on an innocent soul (sobs!), just so that the door would get answered. I imagined it must be the paper-boy asking for his monthly due. So i scanned my room (with my half open sleepy eyes) and spotted the purse, kept it ready just in case. But I was wrong. When I opened the door, i saw the sweeper outside the grill gate, Subro(name changed so that he dosen't sue me some day, if at all he becomes literate and a millionare). He had been ringing the doorbell constantly, for the past 20 minutes... and still he looked so calm! As usual, he was waiting for us to open the door and hand him the daily garbage packets. Inspite of me being late and making him wait for such a long time, he still bowed, smiled, folded his hands to greet me (in a namaskar) and said ... 'Didi Garbage please'... as if its one of the best things given for recompence under the sun! Like a nugget of gold or a traditional delicacy. I never ever in my life of 22yrs did enjoy taking out the garbage to the front door because the idea of holding filth in my hands (wrapped in double covers) for 10 steps would churn my insides and almost make me puke! But this guy, Subro, works with filth so casually, its his bread and butter after all! He's been taking out people's garbage, daily, for 365 days (366 in case of a leap year), some thing that he has been doing for the past... wait a second... i dont even know how long he's been our building's sweeper! That is so irresponsible of me! I do not deserve to write a post on a person about whom I do not have the least requisite data!!! But what to do... i was moved... to the core man!

The economic pundits boast that our GDP will cross $1trillion by 2010. We have achieved a remarkable rebound from the global financial crisis. There is a swift turnaround of economic fortunes. Okay, allright, I get it! Economics was never my favorite subject in school. I had a 10 marks economics portion in my 10th grade.(for which I had to slog like a one legged man in an arse kicking competition!) Some how I glided through and secured 96/100 in social science. (I bet i lost 4 in Economics only. But thanks to my Mum who knew all of it by heart and who drew me pictographs and wrote me notes and charts to help me memorize all that crap! Pardon me...but I told you.. I hated Economics!!!)

Damn where was I? Oh yeah! India's growth and developement. How is it actually affecting Subro and his family??? When there was a smooth increase in per capita GDP, he was collecting garbage and was getting paid a scanty amount. He managed somehow as he was a bachelor then. When there was recession, he got married! When there was inflation, Mom and other ladies gave him basic provisions. Okay, he is surviving through all of it, just like us. But he dosent even have the least freaking idea about what is going on at the 'ACME' and how things are supposed to affect him! Poor guy dosent even know that I am writing all this about him. (Sorry Subro.)

Am I beating about the bush? Well, what I am trying to say here is that Subro is a poor man. (Which you must have already figured out!) No I am not asking for any kind of help for him or his family. That will be taken care of. (Thanks to Mum and the ladies.) But my point is, how far are we (the lazy youngsters) trying to help them, people like Subro? We were born in affluent families, still we run after jobs with a good pay or a degree that promises an even bigger job with a higher pay. We spend 25 years of our lives studying, other 25 years, probably doing a job and raising our kids! (DAT WAS TOO MUCH!:P) And by the time we will be 50, it'll be too late to do something/anything at all!

Are they (Subro and Co.) the children of a lesser God? Please Give it a thought... My next article will be solid and heavy... Till then... Keep thinking... Please (for a second atleast.)

GOTTA RISE HIGH!

It takes like forever, to kill the fear,
And make the inferno unstoppable...

Stray away out there from here,
Still pull together to be this able…

Try hard to steer through a barbed wire,
Plus shake away a towering decible…

Push off the greed whispering in the ear,
stand up and fight against the credible…

Every step taken meets a rude sneer,
Yet the heart is privy to the fact, yes it is commendable…
O yes, it is commendable!!!

~~TeArS~~

It's so agonising and yet so true
that tears do come in different hues...

They define grief filled junctures
they conclude the merry moods...

They conceal the greatest losses
and enunciate the unspoken rows...

They are the silver lining of a mother's love
but again the outcome of betrayal...

A reward, most awaited,, in a lover's paradise
yet the daily dose of insincerity...

Hence tears sure are the true potion
that gives us a go for our worthy existance...

I wish ...

A whole truck load of unspoken words prick me,
hopping to spill out, and so could they I wish...

Oodles of emotions in my heart and brain unease me,
springing to slop over, and so could they I wish...

An endless list of desideratum hallucinate me,
gamboling to let out, and so could they I wish...

A frenzied swarm of fantasies intoxicate me,
bouncing to sail over, and so could they I wish...

All these nutty little ideas are feeding on my cranium,
And here goes my sole prayer, so could they, I wish...

Hey all! this is d actual poetic representation of wot sort of a tornado love actually can be!!

My Inamorato...

I am enamored of someone
really special in my life.

I am besotted with the thoughts
of this person so divine.

I savor the idea of light from this sun
so the nadir of my heart spills all adulation.

I am mesmerized with the charm of this cute little poppet
because one is daubed heavily with the tint of a blush, off late!

Hi all! i m blogging after ages i guess..

The Invertebrate Society...

Gone are those days of piecework fame,
gone are those days of roister.

Gone are those days of spinney wagery,
all we observe is true agony.

Day after day the irrevocable law
goes on enticing the oedema of crime.

All we do is mutely watch
the changing pigmentations of time.

The semantics, the lawyers, the science herculeses,
silently ignite the ignonimous era.

They care not a hay for the miffed civilians,
who are helpless and yet wonder why...

Pouting sherrifs, promise a society of postulants,
yet possumly let the situation aggravate.

Its time we realise with open minds,
that we are our own saviors.

Just spurn out those vociferous criminals,
who are leading a life filled with vol-au-vents.

A true leader's post awaits a common man,
come right now and vertebratize your own society....

MYSTIC FRIENDSHIP........

As sweet as a peach is the word 'friendship',
yet ever have I realised it's austere importance?

Ostracizing myself at present,
from a group of pals is immensely painful.

The large stoep of the school,
which once used to ring with the joie de vivre of the group,
now seems as silent as a platoon of dead soldiers.

It was my utter idiocy to have always stayed away,
yet they were too ritzy for me to completely fit in.

Days, months and years have passed by,
but the pedagogue teachers still remain in this memory.

Were they the real friends who taught me and geared up my life?
or they were the buddies who never minded listening my rubbish talk?

Whoever it was, but I still recall them all,
in my tiny little memory, and rejoice those moments.

Ah! those pleasant days of friendship,
But I have to bid them all adieu,
and move ahead in my very own life.
So au revoir my friends........

A whole new light, a whole new story.......

There is something about you,
That gives us a touch of Hue.
A whole new lux rises inside,
which organises us for a deploy...

You inspire us every single moment,
to do something better and kill all lament.
To enjoy the life which you tell is a 'lapiz lazuli'
and teach us to accept it as our self-propensity...

You are always in such pro-rata with nature,
that I fell as shallow as a skillet and crave,
just to be like you, in a whole different hue.
Your unremminting determination must be a legacy,
because you simply forte' at anythinh that you do.

I am now collecting the shards of my life,
and am joining them together only for you.
My restive nature is no longer alive,
and I am trying to ramify my new lessons to my siblings.

Even though you've never spoken to us,
the paucity of your words never affected us.
And I sit in front of you every single evening,
my being a yokel is no longer bothering me.

O Lord! Why art thou so silent?
What have you stashed for us and our children?
We do not want a repining life again.
Then why all this complicated prologue?
Please lead us out of this nebula.
This is just a small prayer of mercy.
Oh God! save us all from the cruel hands of destiny,
write our fates newly, show us some sign of mercy!

You are our sole guiding light.
So please show us the newly paved path to normalcy.
Prise out our problems, let our children live,
let them have faith in you,
just like us and we still do....

CHILDHOOD BLUES....

O Time,dear time,turn backward & backward,
lancets of teen feel so awkward so awkward.
It feels so great to drown in the langour of childhood,
remembering the nimble me,always in such mood!

The niggling thoughts in my head about my dees, now
were never present then, just cant get how?
I was always so jolly and cooly witty,
always the first one around to be naughty!

I feel like a hurdy-gurdy in need of serious repair,
lacking all the right notes and pitch and flare!
I dont feel as agile and active as I was then,
but like a trapped hen in a pen!

I wanna resuscitate to the true ways of world,
but just cant help thinkin about me and the moulds!
I am no shrew, and i am not a tizzy lass
just wanna relive the days of "MY MASS".

Those lovely finger paintings and the colour book fantasies,
still attract me to their own world of legacy.
Hey! i am no bohemian! these are all passing thoughts!!!
Or you could call them simply "CHILDHOOD BLUES"........

Concussion: Due to loneliness

Down & down i sink into myself,
as every single day goes by.
No one to talk to, nobody to befriend,
quietly on the bed i lie.
Just keep pondering bout the last two years,
& i feel my inside swelling up.
Cant't just relate to my cranium,
how cud those years pass off so soon?
It feels like yesterday, my first day to junior college,
me a coy 16yr old, in my first ever baggy salwar,
now i am almost 18 and almost out of junior college,
still wishing that I were 16 again!
All those buddies, all those teachers,
a new scooty, new clothes and a new cellphone.
These are all meagre memory pics now,
coz I've lost touch wid all o' em now.
I miss those days, i miss my past,
Had heard that all sweet times come to an end,
never realised it cud be an abrupt one...
I know that something is in store ahead,
something fancier, sparkier and much better.
Gosh! how i wish i cud fast forward my life,
coz this phase is really slow.
I wanna get into the best MEDICAL COLLEGE,
Gotta prove myself and make some real friends.
Gotta show to the world that i am someone..................

Faith.....

Ever wondered, what is faith?
Simply reliability,nothing else.
A tool to truss you to yourself,
that is all what we call,faith...

It binds up a life's tattered pieces,
it helps you to taxidermise your hollow present,
deep down within, it peps you up,
that is all what we call, faith...

In this world full of riffraffs,
it is your only guiding light,
deep within, screaming or whispering each moment,
makes sure to be heard each time,
just to guide you through.
That is all what we call faith...

It was you past, it is your present,
and it will always be in your future,
If you are alive and kicking today,
it is only because of your faith...

Faith is God, faith is mankind,
faith is family and faith is friend,
an unusual bond, a deep realisation,
that is all what we call faith...

Eyes...

Eyes are simply our organ of sight, the one and only organ that enables us to see, observe, adsorb and finally absorb the world around us.But the inner meaning displayed by these eyes, is deeper than their facade.
Why do experts advise you to talk to other people, by looking directly into their eyes? Thats to judge the spontanity and vulnerability of the person in front of u. Fickle and sly people never look into your eyes while a conversation.
Dilation of the pupils shows the truthfullness and extravagance of people which helps you to judge their character.
All in all EYES ARE OUR PUBLIC PROFILES, the larger & brighter your eyes are, the better is the person's topology. Small eyes signify meanness and a foggy character. Normal eyes show the gadding nature of a person
So folks, next time you go on a blind date, make sure to study the person's eyes, your judgement about him can never go wrong. I bet so!
